We were lucky enough to have a quick chat with gorgeous ex-Hollyoaks star Alice Barlow (Rae) to find out her fashion must-haves and what’s next for her career…
What is your fashion must-have?
My fashion must have is a gorgeous pair of nude shoes, perfect for any outfit!
Most expensive thing in your wardrobe…
My Christian Louboutins which I love and adore. I look at them every night, they are absolutely gorgeous!
Heels or flats?
I’m definitely a heels girl! 
Are you similar to Rae in anyway?
Not really no- I’ve always had the luck of going into the wardrobe department and never having the same clothes as my character, which, I have always enjoyed as then I feel like I can get into ‘character’. My life has been very different to her storylines- I have’t experiences what Rae has been through.
We’ve heard your duet with Ed Sheeran (and loved it). Is singing something we will see from you in the future?
Yes definitely! I am concentrating more on my singing at the moment. I’ve been singing since I was 9 years old and have always wanted to crack the music industry. I am still going for acting auditions and will definitely not be giving up acting!
What’s next for you?
Auditions, meeting, auditions, meeting, auditions… I’m just going to practice and take every opportunity that gets thrown at me because you don’t know who you will bump into at each audition/meeting. I definitely hope to go into music but I’m keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that someone will pick me up!

What was it like filming the last few scenes in hollyoaks? (from@BaconTrfc92)
It was very emotional! When you’ve played a character for 2 years you feel emotionally attached to them so it was extremely hard, especially when I was filming with James who plays Will. Rae really does fall for him but he doesn’t feel the same way and when I knew what was coming next it was really hard to film.

So many people- My lovely Bianca (Texas) , Jess (Leanne) and PJ (Doug, who I live with) and also Anna Shaffer (Ruby), Jorgie Porter (Theresa) , Kieron Richardson (Ste), Emmett Scanlan (Brendan), James (Will) and Craig who plays Ethan.
Was it hard to keep the story line a secret from the viewers after you had performed it on set? (from @xXKatoBabeyEeeX)
So hard!! Especially from everyone on Twitter. I hated keeping it a secret from everyone but I”m so glad I did after the amazing response I have received!
Who was your favourite and least favourite character from Hollyoaks? (from @RunDoNotWalk)
I’m going to answer this as Rae, not Alice because I wouldn’t be able to pick a favourite and least favourite. As Rae I’d say Ste was her favourite. She cared so much about him, they nearly had a baby together but then found out he was gay. How much closer can you get?Her least favourite character would definitely be Brendan! In Rae’s eyes he has hurt Ste and because she loved Ste so much, it hurt her to see him the way he was.
What’s your biggest memory from your time on the show? (from @Millz_10)
I have got so many memories from my time on the show! One of the most memorable would be the first scenes I shot with Nico (Newt). It was my first few days at Hollyoaks and I was so nervous and then I was asked to jump off a 40 foot building, backwards! It was so scary but an amazing experience!
What was your favourite scene to shoot and why? (from @TamD94)
My favourite scene to shoot would have to be my final scene! Working with Jeff Rawle (Silas) was an absolute honour and I learnt so much from him in such a short space of time. I hope it will be as memorable for you guys as it was for me!
